On April 16th, 2018 Democratic Transition & Human Rights Support - DAAM - دعم organized a forum entitled “#Democracy and Cultural Diversity: Minorities speak up” in Tunis. This forum falls within the framework for “Rights-Based Democracy” launched #DAAM center with the support of European Endowment For Democracy EED which aims to promote societies that have the required knowledge to set visions for strategies and #democratic solutions that support universal rights based democratic transition. The forum represents a platform to present different articles of DAAM periodical which is entitled “Democracy and Cultural Diversity: Minorities speak up” in its first edition. The forum started with the opening speech of Mr. Mohamed Omran, the executive director of , DAAM center, in which he presented the center and it different activities in addition to the general framework of the forum. The first panel started with the intervention of Mrs. Maroua Belgacem Ep Selmani,research associate of DAAM center, as she presented the research paper prepared by Dr.Yousry Moustafa , an Egyptian researcher whose paper discussed “the challenges of multicultural democracy”. Then, Dr. Mohamed Ben Moussa, a Tunisian researcher and university professor, presented his research paper on “coexistence motives: a #Bahai point of view for the issues of citizenship and democracy” After that, Professor Khaled Wahli, a Libyan researcher and activist, presented a paper "Minorities in the Libyan Constitution as a model”. Then the discussion was led by the journalist Meriem Azouz Participants were very enthusiastic regarding the debate.
نظم مركز دعم التحول الديمقراطي وحقوق الانسان "دعم" يوم 16 افريل 2018 بالعاصمة تونس منتدى "الديمقراطية و التنوع الثقافي: الكلمة للاقليات" يتنزل هذا المنتدى في إطار مشروع #الديمقراطية المرتكزة على الحقوق الذي أطلقه مركز دعم التحول الديمقراطي وحقوق الانسان بدعم من المؤسسة الاوروبية للديمقراطية والذي يهدف الى الدفع نحو مجتمعات تتمتع بالمعرفة اللازمة لوضع تصورات لخطط وحلول ديمقراطية داعمة لعملية التحول الديمقراطي المرتكز على مبادئ #حقوق_الإنسان في شموليتها و كونيتها و هو يمثل مساحة لتقديم مختلف عناصر دورية دعم التي يحمل عددها الأول عنوان "الديمقراطية والتنوع الثقافي: الكلمة #للأقليات". إنطلق المنتدى بكلمة إفتتاحية للأستاذ محمد عمران، المدير التنفيذي لمركز #دعم الذي قدم فيها المركز و مختلف أنشطته إلى جانب لمحة عن الإطار العام للمنتدى، لتنطلق بعد ذلك الحصة الأولى بمداخلة الأستاذة مروة بلقاسم، مسؤولة برنامج البحوث و الدراسات بمركز دعم، لتقوم بتقديم ورقة المفكر و الباحث المصري، الدكتور يسري مصطفى حول "رهانات الديمقراطية متعددة الثقافات". بعد ذلك تفضل الأستاذ الجامعي و الباحث التونسي الأستاذ محمد بن موسى بتقديم ورقته حول "دوافع التعايش: وجهة نظر بهائية لقضايا المواطنة والديمقراطية". اثر ذلك قام الأستاذ خالد وهلي، الباحث والناشط الليبي بعرض ورقة حول "الأقليات في الدستور الليبي، التبو نموذجا".
